what are the limitations of Megaupload with a premium account, such as single file upload and download size limits? Im thinking of dumping 1tb truecrypt files there.
You can download endlessly with a premium account. That means any amount of video, no size limitation and no upload limit. You can upload up to 100GB in your premium account.
Also, you can use it in several computers. You won’t have problem if you download less than 8 simultaneous links in 5 different computers (of course, all the computers connected to the same router count only as 1).
So I am interested in getting a premium Megaupload account. I would like to know if I could get banned if I were to share the account with a friend or two.
I have skimmed through the ToS and found nowhere where the account is to be used ONLY by the user.
So yeah could I get banned? Main reason is because my friend lives in Florida and I live in British Columbia so yeah the IP addresses would be constantly changing and (maybe) might raise suspicion?
Thanks in advanced.
It’s OK to share as long as it’s among one or two of your friends. I’ve been sharing my accounts with my friends for years and nothing’s happened. Plus saved me a few buck. Just don’t post your account details for the whole world to use. THEN they’ll ban you. Have fun!
I uploaded a file onto megaupload and I just wanted to know if I could see how many times it’s been download?
What if I uploaded it being a guest user?
Just log into your megaupload account. The download statistics will be given there right next to the filename.
I’m just wondering, because I made this new website and I am thinking of putting links from Megaupload or etc. on it and I was wondering if it’s illegal. Will I get sued? Or, is it okay to do that? Also the website is still a FREE website, not a Paid by month or Premium account.
I don’t think so… because you’ll still be linking back right?
I guess it’s like every movie site out there that put up videos from Youku/Tudou/Youtube/Mega – like this website: www.watch-movies-links.net
If the owner of the video finds their movie etc. on Mega/Tudou/Youtube etc they’ll just take it down from there and the video won’t be on your website anymore but if you’re just linking I don’t think you’ll get into trouble.
I don’t have a Paypal account but I do have Visa and Mastercard. Can I use them to buy a Megaupload account? If so, how? I tried, but could not find the option to choose only credit cards. I could only find Paypal and Moneybrokers.
A few of my friends and I are thinking about splitting a lifetime membership to Megaupload. Do they limit usage to only one IP address? Thanks.
yea your allowed to do that. but if at least two of you use it the same time, the password will change. One of you is going to have to find out what the password is.(don’t worry its not hard)
I am hoping to avoid having to download 500 gb of files from my old account Megaupload and then having to reupload it to my new lifetime account. Does anyone know of a way around having to go through that ordeal?
Thanks in advance.
No, i don’t think you will be able to do it.
You might can do it if you have premium in both the accounts, because MU offers remote upload for Premium Accounts.
Better to ask Customer Support for that.
Their are few people who do transfer files from 1 account to other by manually uploading and downloading our files and transferring to other account, they do charge though.
